BOTOX

Botulinum toxin - or Botox - is the most requested (and practiced) Aesthetic Medicine treatment by Women and Men alike.

Surely, the reason is to be found in the excellent results visible immediately, that this treatment is able to give.

Haquos Specialists are at your disposal to illustrate the benefits of botulinum toxin for those who want to find a more relaxed, fresh or open look.

What kind of treatment is it?

It is used for lifting the eyebrow and, above all, for smoothing wrinkles: for those of the forehead, the vertical ones of the eyebrows and the lateral ones of the eyes, the so-called 'crow's feet'.

Botox is one of the most successful anti-aging treatments to prevent the formation of new wrinkles and to give the face a more relaxed and natural effect.

What's this?

“Botox is the trade name by which purified botulinum toxin, a protein widely used in aesthetic medicine, is generally known.

It is inserted in small doses in the mimic muscles (furrii) just below the wrinkles concerned, locally inhibiting the production of acetylcholine: the neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction. Botox therefore has a muscle relaxant effect as it relaxes the muscles into which it is injected.

How long does it take to see results and how often is the treatment repeated?

The result starts to be visible after 7 days, but it will only be on the 14th day that the full effects will be appreciated.

The reabsorption times of the substance depend on the characteristics of each patient but, on average, the effect will remain visible for the next 6 months.

How is the treatment carried out?

The treatment consists of micro injections in the affected part and are carried out in the clinic.

The duration of the session is about twenty minutes and the post-treatment does not require any special attention, so much so that you can resume normal daily activities: go back to the office, pick up the children from school or go shopping.

Since this is a microneedle injection, the discomfort is generally well tolerated however, if necessary, an anesthetic ointment can be applied to the affected area about 15 minutes before the treatment.

What time of year is it recommended to carry out the treatment?

The treatment can be carried out at any time of the year. Botox is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
